According to Edmunds.com's Inside Line, Buick is going to use a Holden as the basis of their flagship in 2008. Other juicy tidbits are that there will be a 5.3L V8 and a 6.0L in the line-up (I wonder if Holden will skip the 5.3?).
I recall that it was said that Buick would use a Holden platform when the VT Commodore was being developed. I think that fell through for various reasons, not the least of which was the reluctance of the US labor unions for cars to be imported to the 'States but badged as a domestic model.
It will be interesting to see what eventuates.
